ABSTRACT

In this digital age, information is the popular currency while knowledge is the preferred coin essential in getting the best deal. Nowhere is more real than today business environment which affect the success or otherwise of any business venture. Several authors have attributed failure of businesses particularly small and medium scale enterprises to various factors ranging from training of the entrepreneur to exposure and experience while some analysts opined that business environment could impact on small and medium scale enterprises. Hence, using the logistic regression technique to analyze primary data obtained through a structured questionnaire administered to Eighty small scale businessmen and women operators in Ijebu North Local Government area, (Ogun State) SouthWest Nigeria, this study seeks to ascertain the nature of the relationship between business environment and the survival of small and medium scale businesses in Nigeria. The obtained result revealed that the model of logistic regression was able to predict the distribution of 72.15% of the observed values of the dependent variable as factors such inflationary trend; infrastructural facilities accessibility and government policy serve as barriers to business growth and survival. Hence, it is recommended that small business operators must developed and adopt scientific and rational business management strategies that will aid and increase their understanding of both their business and its environment in order to facilitate planning and predictions on the most significant factors that affects business survival.

In any organization, it is important to mange towards the attainment of objective that business organization. The success or failure of any organization depends on their ability to operate successfully.

The research discusses many concepts. In chapter one while chapter two is on the literature review and it was introduced by the meaning of environment, business environment, how business can cope with environment constraints and other aspects of external environment.

Chapter three focuses on research which shows clearly the instruments used to carryout the study i.e. the questionnaire and other method like validity and discussion as data were also elucidate in chapter four, the data collected was analyzed and interpreted and the testing of hypothesis in colluding research question was analyzed. Chapter five contains the summary, Recommendation, Conclusion, References and appendix.

5.2    RECOMMENDATION

Having examined the impact of business environment on international breweries plc. ILESA through the data analyzed earlier discussed, I therefore recommend the following measures for management of the organization.

The business environment should be minimized positively in the origination by making use of internal and external environment in order to have maximum profit for their organization especially where talking about the social cultural of the people living in the area.

The management of the organization should also ensure that there is mutual relationship in the organization such relationship may be between the organization and shareholders. This technique can also propel a business to success.

5.3              CONCLUSION

From the data analyzed earlier on, it was revealed that the impact of business environment on the operation of business organization Brewery plc. ILESA. This means that business environment has a great impact on the life of the organization.

Upon the whole I will conclude that business instruments is an effective instruments that can be used by the organization to its advantage. It will assist the organization to better performance on their product in the midst of the remaining beer producing company in the country.
